The U.S. Travel Association has appointed global destination expert Tyler Gosnell as its Managing Director for International Inbound Travel, a newly established position designed to drive growth in this vital segment.
“As we hone our focus on the critical international inbound travel segment ahead of a mega-decade of sporting events, U.S. Travel is excited to bring aboard Tyler Gosnell, one of the nation’s leading experts in the space,” said Geoff Freeman, President and CEO of the U.S. Travel Association. “Tyler’s enthusiasm, expertise, global contacts and success in industry collaborations will advance our pursuit of inbound market growth.”
In his new role, Gosnell will bring together key stakeholders in the international inbound market, exploring fresh opportunities to expand the sector while enhancing the association’s value to its members. Additionally, he will apply his industry expertise to strengthen the U.S. Travel Association’s flagship IPW international trade show and identify strategies to further grow inbound travel.
“The United States is at the forefront of a tremendous opportunity to restore and expand its market share. I’m eager to partner with industry leaders to develop innovative solutions that strengthen our position and enhance global competitiveness,” Gosnell said.
Gosnell’s extensive background in tourism and marketing positions him as a valuable asset to the organization. Before joining U.S. Travel, he served as Chief Brand and Marketing Officer at Visit Salt Lake, where he played a pivotal role in boosting international air connectivity at the state’s main airport and advancing Utah’s bid for the 2034 Winter Olympics.
Previously, Gosnell led international marketing efforts as Head of Global Markets for Saudi Arabia’s Royal Commission for AlUla, a premier luxury and heritage destination. He also held prominent roles as Director of International Marketing at Visit California and Director of Global Brand Strategy at San Francisco Travel, further showcasing his expertise in global tourism promotion.
A graduate of Stevenson University in Maryland with a degree in business administration, Gosnell brings both strategic insight and a wealth of industry experience to his new position at U.S. Travel.
