Jetstar will relocate domestic flights to Terminal 2 at Perth Airport from Sept 2, streamlining connections and enhancing passenger convenience.
Starting September 2, 2024, Jetstar will consolidate its operations by relocating domestic flights to Terminal 2 at Perth Airport, where its international flights are already based. This move will streamline the transit process for passengers, who previously had to commute between Terminal 3 and Terminal 1, potentially adding 40 minutes to their journey due to the required shuttle bus service.
With the transition, travelers will have the convenience of a short walk to connect between domestic and international flights at Terminals 1 and 2. Additionally, the relocation facilitates easier access to central Perth through the underground airport rail station located nearby.
This strategic shift is part of Jetstar’s broader plan to enhance operational efficiencies and expand its service offerings. This includes the establishment of a new pilot and aircraft hub in Perth this August, coupled with the introduction of direct routes from Perth to Singapore and Phuket, and a new service to Bangkok starting in September.
The airline will station at least 60 pilots and four Airbus A321neo LR aircraft in Perth, paving the way for potential increases in domestic and regional flight frequencies.
Jetstar’s customer service team will proactively contact passengers with existing bookings to inform them of the changes. For additional updates, travelers are encouraged to check the airline’s Travel Alert section on their website.
