Singapore Airlines (SIA) is set to begin daily operations between Singapore and the newly operational Beijing Daxing International Airport from November 11, 2024, pending official approval. This strategic move aims to enhance connectivity to the Beijing, Hebei, and Tianjin areas, offering easier access to various renowned cultural heritage sites through an extensive transport network including highways, subways, and railways.

The route will be serviced by SIA’s Boeing 787-10 aircraft, equipped with 36 seats in Business Class and 301 in Economy Class. This expansion is part of a broader initiative to increase service frequencies, with the airline boosting its flights to Beijing Capital International Airport to 21 times a week starting August 5, 2024, from the previous 18. Consequently, by November, SIA’s weekly flights to China’s capital will total 28.

The introduction of this service to Beijing Daxing will expand the SIA Group’s presence in mainland China to 24 destinations, underscoring its ongoing commitment to this crucial market.

The first flight, SQ810, is scheduled to leave Singapore at 00:30 local time and arrive in Beijing Daxing at 06:35 local time. The return flight, SQ811, will depart Beijing Daxing at 09:25 local time, reaching Singapore at 15:50. Additional information about this new service is available in Annexe A.

Mr Dai Haoyu, Acting Senior Vice President Marketing Planning, Singapore Airlines, said: “China is a key market for the Singapore Airlines Group. This new flight to Beijing Daxing allows SIA to offer an additional daily service to Beijing, a popular destination for both tourist and business travellers. With 24 destinations in the Group’s mainland China network, we offer some of the best options and connections for travel between Singapore and China, and beyond.”

Mr Kong Yue, Vice President, Beijing Daxing International Airport, said: “Singapore Airlines is the first foreign airline to operate services from Beijing Daxing International Airport to Singapore. We believe the inception of Singapore Airlines at Beijing Daxing International Airport will bring about a renewed sense of energy and opportunities, fulfilling the travel demand between both countries as we jointly work together for more good things to come.”
