Princess Cruises partners with the Academy of Country Music to bring exclusive performances and events onboard, celebrating country music’s finest talents and awards.
Princess Cruises, renowned as the world’s premier cruise line, has been named the exclusive cruise partner for the prestigious Academy of Country Music® (ACM®). This partnership debuted on May 16 at the 59th ACM Awards Show, hosted by Reba McEntire. During Country Music’s Party of the Year, Princess Cruises celebrated on the ACM Awards red carpet, conducting live interviews with artists and nominees from the Princess Stage. As part of this exciting collaboration, Princess Cruises will serve as the presenting sponsor for the new “ACM Live from the Red Barrel Lounge” series, held at the Academy’s Nashville headquarters this summer. This series will showcase exclusive performances, introducing viewers to emerging country artists. Additionally, select artists from the Red Barrel Lounge will perform on future Princess voyages, bringing unique musical experiences to the high seas.
“Princess is incredibly proud to partner with the ACM and to showcase the next big country stars,” said John Padgett, President of Princess Cruises. “Country music has a special place in the hearts of many of our guests, and this partnership allows us to bring unparalleled experiences onboard to combine that love for cruising and country music in a unique and memorable way.”
Furthermore, Princess Cruises will support the ACM Honors in August, celebrating special award honorees, off-camera category winners, and recipients of the ACM Industry and Studio Recording Awards.
Established in Los Angeles in 1964, the ACM remains the longest-running Country Music awards show and made history in 2022 as the first major award ceremony to exclusively livestream on Amazon Prime. Originally a regional Southern California trade organization, the ACM has evolved into a national powerhouse with a mission to enhance lives by connecting fans, artists, and the industry. Today, the ACM is more committed than ever to promoting new artists, rising stars, and established superstars, while also supporting charitable causes through ACM Lifting Lives®.
