Following the recent completion of its dry dock, Carnival Legend embarks from Barcelona, Spain today, marking the start of its European summer sailing season. The ship debuts several new features and renovations across its public areas.
Key updates include the addition of the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, a dedicated space for active-duty military and veterans, adorned with authentic military memorabilia. This new venue on Carnival Legend also displays the army boots of Deshauna Barber, godmother of Carnival Horizon and a captain in the U.S. Army Reserve. The bar is a feature on 13 Carnival ships.
Other new offerings on Carnival Legend include the Chef’s Table, Dreams Studio, and a specific area for Carnival Adventures. The ship’s steakhouse has undergone a makeover and is now called Fahrenheit 555. Enhancements extend to an expanded casino and a rebranded Cloud 9 Spa and Fitness Center, a popular feature throughout the Carnival fleet. The retail shops have been refreshed, and a new mini-golf course has been added on the top deck. Updates also include revamped Circle C and Camp Ocean spaces for younger cruisers.
Over the next four months, Carnival Legend will undertake 16 cruises across Europe. Ports of call include Dover (London), UK, and Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy, featuring itineraries that explore scenic destinations across Spain, Portugal, the UK, Iceland, Italy, and Greece. In October, the ship is scheduled for a transatlantic Carnival Journeys cruise to its new homeport in Tampa, Florida. Next year, Carnival Legend’s sister ship, Carnival Miracle, will take over the Europe season and introduce Lisbon, Portugal as a new departure point.
