Chris Hamilton Appointed as General Manager of Crown Towers Perth
Crown Towers Perth has appointed Chris Hamilton as its new General Manager. Hamilton, who will relocate from Dubai for the role, brings over 10 years of senior management experience in the hospitality industry. His previous positions include Resident Manager at Shangri-La Dubai and roles in Shangri-La properties in Fiji and India. With his extensive experience, Hamilton is set to lead Crown Towers Perth to new heights in guest experience and operational excellence.
Linda O’Farrell Joins Rocky Bay’s Board
Former Fortescue Metals executive Linda O’Farrell has joined the board of disability services provider Rocky Bay. With over 25 years of experience in human resources, leadership development, and strategic direction, O’Farrell’s expertise will be invaluable to Rocky Bay. Her prior roles at Fortescue included Group Manager People and later, Director of People, where she contributed significantly to the company’s growth and culture. Currently, O’Farrell serves as a director at Austin Engineering and chairs the advisory board at Remsmart.
Peter Gerendasi Named Chief Executive of Activate Perth
Activate Perth has announced Peter Gerendasi as its new Chief Executive Officer. With more than three decades of experience, Gerendasi is tasked with rejuvenating commercial and cultural offerings in Perth’s Central Business District. His impressive career includes 23 years at PwC, where he held various leadership roles, including Managing Partner for 27 countries in Europe and Chief Executive for PwC Russia. Most recently, Gerendasi was a partner at Deloitte, managing Sydney’s private client practice.
Michael Walshe to Lead MTM Critical Metals as Chief Executive
Chemical engineer Michael Walshe has been appointed as the Chief Executive of ASX-listed MTM Critical Metals. Walshe transitions from his previous role as Chief Executive of Voltaic Strategic Resources, where he expanded his expertise in engineering, operations, and project development. Before Voltaic, Walshe spent a decade at Finnish company Metso, further enhancing his technical and leadership skills.
Maki Petkovski Appointed CEO of Nex Metals Explorations
Nex Metals Explorations has named Maki Petkovski as its new Chief Executive Officer. A highly experienced geologist with over 30 years in the industry, Petkovski is expected to focus on the company’s Kookynie gold tailings project in the Goldfields. His extensive career includes leadership roles at Petko Resources, Oil Search, and other international mining firms.
Craig Hollywood Joins Volunteering WA Board
Craig Hollywood, founder of Short Back and Sidewalks and AECOM WA’s Deputy Defence Lead, has joined the board of Volunteering WA. Hollywood, a civil engineer, founded the not-for-profit organization in 2015 to provide free haircuts to people experiencing homelessness. He served as the organization’s Chief Executive until 2023 and continues to make an impact in the community through his leadership at AECOM and Volunteering WA.
