High-speed rail tourism is rapidly advancing in the Yangtze River Delta, with the autumn and winter tourism offerings of Jiangning, located in Nanjing’s neighboring Jiangsu Province, taking center stage at the China International Travel Mart 2024.
The event included a vibrant bazaar at Nanjing Road Pedestrian Mall on Friday evening, where 28 booths highlighted the region’s tourism attractions and rich intangible cultural heritage, alongside tempting food offerings. The display featured colorful lanterns, intricate brocade, and exquisite ceramics, reflecting Nanjing’s deep historical significance as the ancient capital of six dynasties. Visitors were also enticed by local specialties such as Jiangning cherry ducks and Hengxi rice wine, while a fashion show added to the festive atmosphere.
Jiangning is known for its cultural and scenic landmarks, including the Nanjing Niushou Mountain Cultural Tourism Zone and Jiangsu Garden Expo Park, which are part of a 130-kilometer scenic corridor running east to west. Nanjing, renowned for its hot springs, is also hosting a cultural tourism festival through December 7, offering a variety of autumn and winter activities for visitors.
