Greater Bay Airlines CEO Liza Ng applauds the expansion of the Individual Visit Scheme to new cities, aiming to boost Hong Kong’s economy and tourism.

Greater Bay Airlines’ CEO, Liza Ng, recently expressed her support for the Central Government’s decision to extend the Individual Visit Scheme. This expansion now includes additional cities such as Taiyuan in Shanxi Province, Hohhot in Inner Mongolia, Harbin in Heilongjiang, and Lhasa in Tibet, among others. The decision comes as a response to a proposal by the Hong Kong SAR Government.

Ng is optimistic about the implications of this expansion, believing it will significantly enhance the development of various industries in Hong Kong. By incorporating cities like Lanzhou in Gansu, Xining in Qinghai, Yinchuan in Ningxia Hui, and Urumqi in Xinjiang Uygur, the initiative is set to foster economic growth across multiple sectors.

Highlighting the tourism sector’s strong recovery over the past year, Ng is confident that this initiative will further stimulate economic development in Hong Kong. She sees this expansion as a strategic move to leverage the increasing travel and economic activities between these regions and Hong Kong.
