Iryo,

Iryo, Spain’s first private high-speed rail operator, has entered a partnership with Euroairlines Group to enhance air-rail interconnectivity. Leveraging the IATA Q4-29 platform, Iryo gains access to an extensive network of travel agents, online travel agencies (OTAs), aggregators, and consolidators across over 60 countries where the Spanish company operates.

This collaboration significantly improves mobility by streamlining connections between train and air travel, offering passengers a seamless experience. For instance, travelers heading from Malaga to the Caribbean can now enjoy a smoother transition. They can take a train from Malaga to Madrid and seamlessly connect to their Caribbean-bound flight without the need for additional check-in. This initiative expands travel options and enhances convenience for passengers, making journeys more efficient and integrated.

Euroairlines, a Spanish conglomerate specializing in international air travel, ranks among the top four global leaders in air distribution. The group provides both its own and partner-operated flights to over 50 nations, facilitating connections on more than 350 routes through strategic alliances.

Launched in 2022, Iryo stands out with Europe’s most sustainable, secure, and high-speed fleet. The company offers services linking major cities such as Madrid, Zaragoza, Barcelona, Tarragona, Cuenca, Valencia, Alicante, Albacete, Córdoba, Seville, and Málaga. Its travel philosophy emphasizes personalization, innovation, and a commitment to environmental sustainability.

The signing of the agreement took place at an official ceremony at the World Travel Market
in London, one of the most important tourism fairs in the world. The event was attended by
the director of business development at Euroairlines, Gregory Taffauraud, who highlighted
the importance of this first agreement with a rail operator. “Intermodality is a key lever that
we are promoting and this partnership with Iryo is the beginning of an approach that
differentiates Euroairlines in the aviation sector”, said Taffauraud.
