Sabre Corporation, a leader in software and technology for the global travel industry, along with SNCF Voyageurs, the French national railway, recently added OUIGO Essentiel to Sabre’s Rail 2.0. This integration positions Sabre as the first Global Distribution System (GDS) to grant its affiliated travel agencies access to this cost-effective rail service, which focuses on a streamlined travel experience.

OUIGO Essentiel, ideal for travelers aiming to economize on train travel across France, presents a straightforward approach by offering a single class of seating with various optional services, promoting both efficiency and affordability in French train travel.

Following the extension of their 25-year strategic distribution partnership, this move reaffirms Sabre’s enduring commitment to advancing train travel in France in close cooperation with SNCF Voyageurs.

“The longstanding collaboration between SNCF Voyageurs and Sabre has yielded visible results. Being the first GDS to offer OuiGo Essentiel content to its agencies demonstrates our commitment to leading in bespoke solutions for clients in the French rail market,” said Martin Danzl, Director EMEA & APAC Lodging & Rail Supply, at Sabre.

As part of their ongoing partnership, Sabre will soon introduce OUIGO Plus on its platform. This enhanced service will provide additional features like extra luggage capacity, choice of seating, onboard Wi-Fi, and access to OUIFUN, OUIGO’s entertainment service.

Frédéric Laurent-Miel, Director of Enterprises and Agencies at SNCF Voyageurs, commented: “We are delighted to strengthen our cooperation with Sabre to continuously enhance train travel in France. Making OUIGO Essentiel available on Sabre’s platform is a significant step in optimising the provision of our low-cost services to travellers. Sabre has been an invaluable ally in helping us achieve our goals of making train travel more accessible and efficient.”
