Alstom, a leading entity in innovative and sustainable mobility, has named Beata Rusinowicz as the new Country Managing Director for Poland, Ukraine, and the Baltic States. In her role, Beata will spearhead the company’s initiatives across these regions, focusing on the domains of Rolling Stock, Signalling, and Services in alignment with Alstom’s overarching strategic objectives. As Poland remains a rapidly expanding market within the area, Beata’s efforts will be crucial in advancing Alstom’s integration throughout the nation, where the company maintains facilities in Warsaw, Chorzów, Katowice, and Wrocław.
“Beata’s appointment proves our continued commitment to supporting local management and talents by providing them with great opportunities to grow their competences and develop our company. An Alstom team member for almost 25 years, Beata has a track record of successful projects which have been driving innovation in the rail industry. I am confident that, under her leadership, Alstom in Poland, Ukraine and Baltic States will continue to deploy its operational excellence, leverage global footprint, and strengthen its presence in the key sectors of our industry,” declares Antonio Moreno, Alstom’s Central and Eastern Europe Managing Director.
Previously, Beata held the position of Financial Director for the same regions and was elevated to a Member of the Management Board for Alstom Polska in 2021. Over her tenure, she has directed several significant projects both locally and internationally, involving diverse departments including finance, legal, operations, procurement, tenders, and sales.
Her journey with Alstom began in 2000 within the project management department, handling tram initiatives for Polish municipalities such as Warsaw and Szczecin. As Alstom’s local production capabilities evolved, Beata played a pivotal role in the technological transfer for manufacturing railway rolling stock components. Her career progression saw her acquiring extensive leadership experience across various sectors including bidding, tender processes, accounting, financial analysis, and control. Additionally, she collaborated with an international team on tram projects at Alstom’s La Rochelle facility in France.
“I am proud to continue my long-time journey with Alstom in a new role. I have a chance to lead a fantastic team of professionals who have built Alstom’s strong position in the Polish and Central European railway market. I look forward to advancing the projects we have started that are aimed at making mobility even smarter, greener, more sustainable, and available for all. The technologies we have developed and continue to enhance – e.g. high-speed trains, hydrogen solutions, autonomous transportation, and digital systems – have already had a major impact on local industries, and we are ready to keep driving innovation in the railway sector,” says Beata Rusinowicz, Managing Director of Alstom in Poland, Ukraine and Baltic States.
Having been operational in Poland for over a quarter-century, Alstom stands as a prominent exporter and employer in the country’s railway industry. The seasoned expertise of its management has significantly contributed to sectoral growth and innovation. Alstom actively engages with several industry bodies such as the Polish Railway Chamber—where Alstom Polska’s Vice-President and Commercial Director Artur Fryczkowski serves on the Supervisory Board—and the European Hydrogen Institute, where he is also involved with the Science Advisory Board. Alstom remains committed to actively participating in the ongoing dialogue between public and private entities that shape the future of Polish transportation.
