Princess Cruises announces its biggest 2026 Alaska season with eight ships, 180 departures, and 19 destinations, featuring the inaugural Star Princess voyage.
Princess Cruises has announced its ambitious plans for the 2026 Alaska cruise season, set to be the most extensive in the company’s history. The season will include eight ships, 180 departures, and stops at 19 different destinations.
A major highlight is the introduction of the Star Princess to Alaska, marking its inaugural season in the region. The Star Princess, the latest addition to the fleet, will be launched in fall 2025 as the second ship in the Sphere Class and will embark on its first summer season in Alaska in 2026.
“2026 will reinforce Princess’ leadership in Alaska vacations,” said John Padgett, princess of Princess Cruises. “The deployment of the magnificent Star Princess to Alaska for the first time will offer guests unprecedented views, luxurious accommodations, and the finest food, beverages and entertainment ever seen in the Great Land.”
The 2026 season will present a diverse array of itineraries, including the Voyage of the Glaciers, a seven-day trip showcasing views of two Alaska glaciers, with the option to extend into a 14-day adventure. Inside Passage voyages will range from seven to 20 days, departing from Seattle, San Francisco, Vancouver, British Columbia, and Los Angeles. Additionally, the season will feature longer sailings, such as the 20-day Ultimate Alaska Solstice cruise from San Francisco and a 16-day Inside Passage cruise from Los Angeles.
Princess Cruises will carry on with its “North to Alaska with Princess” program, offering cultural and educational activities like naturalist talks and a planetarium experience featuring the Northern Lights. The cruise line will also provide over 20 cruisetour options that combine cruise and land experiences, including visits to Denali National Park.
Bookings for the 2026 Alaska season will open on August 1, 2024, accompanied by a “Better Than Best Price Guarantee” promotion running until September 2, 2024.
