Anantara Vietage has announced the launch of a new rail carriage, set to begin its daily round trips between Nha Trang and Quy Nhon starting May 15, 2024. This expansion follows the success of the initial service connecting Da Nang and Quy Nhon. The newly introduced carriage will enhance connections to Nha Trang, accessible via Cam Ranh International Airport, offering passengers opulent travel experiences across South-Central Vietnam.

Marking the dawn of an era focused on leisurely and eco-friendly travel, the five-hour trips will journey through Vietnam’s scenic countryside, immersing passengers in an atmosphere of old-world charm and contemporary luxury.

The train features 12 reservation-only seats in private two-person booths, combining modern design with Indochinese influences and large windows for panoramic views. Passengers can enjoy live mixology at a stylish bar, and a spa area offers quick 15-minute massages, ensuring a relaxing and memorable journey.

An exclusively-curated and luxurious afternoon tea experience offers guests a culinary journey, starting with poached Bai Dai Lobster and Da Lat Caviar to tantalize the palate. The experience includes a tea tower featuring a selection of homemade finger sandwiches, pastries, cakes, and traditional scones with all the accompaniments. The meal concludes with an artisanal cheese and charcuterie platter. A dedicated vegan menu is also available, catering to all plant-based diet preferences.

Guests can enjoy a unique selection of teas from the Vietnamese tea brand, Epicurean Sao, ethically-sourced local coffee from La Folliet, and an assortment of free-flowing wines, cocktails, beers, mocktails, and soft drinks.

The à la carte menu also includes premium wines and champagnes available for pre-order, and extra portions of caviar for purchase.

As the train travels through Vietnam, passengers can see water buffalo, the national animal, alongside lush lotus ponds, rice paddies, and diverse flora and fauna. The journey features scenic views of the coastline along the East Sea and vast bays before moving inland to the mountainous region of Phú Yên, home to communities of the Champa people and numerous historical sites.

Though not directly visible from the train, it passes near Vietnam’s oldest lighthouse, Mui Dien, at the country’s easternmost point, marking the first location to see the sunrise. The route continues north through the provincial capital of Tuy Hòa, and over Vietnam’s longest wooden bridge, the Bình Thạnh Bridge, which spans 800 meters and leads to several other significant local landmarks.

Travelers on the route from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon can enjoy luxury beachside accommodations at Anantara Quy Nhon Villas. For the quintessential Vietnamese experience, board The Vietage by Anantara from Quy Nhon to Da Nang and visit the enchanting Hoi An Ancient Town with a stay at Anantara Hoi An Resort.

A one-way ticket on The Vietage by Anantara between Nha Trang and Quy Nhon costs US$ 420 per person and includes luxury afternoon tea, a 15-minute head and shoulder treatment, along with free-flowing beverages and a selection of local tea and coffee.

The Vietage by Anantara operates a daily service from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon, arriving in the evening at Dieu Tri station. The journey continues to Da Nang, arriving after midnight. In the reverse direction, an additional carriage departs from Da Nang each morning, arriving at Dieu Tri station in Quy Nhon in the early afternoon, and then continuing to Nha Trang for a mid-evening arrival.

The Vietage by Anantara supports the ‘Dollars for Deeds’ program, which donates US$ 1 per ticket to The Kianh Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides a specialized full-time curriculum for children with disabilities in the Quang Nam Province of Central Vietnam. Guests are encouraged to contribute to this cause as well.
